The increasing development of cloud computing and mobile internet has presented traditional data centres with numerous

challenges, including extended construction cycles, high initial investments, low efficiency during low loads, challenging

expansion during high loads, and overall low management efficiency. In server rooms that have not been designed as data

centers, the permanent mixing of cooled and heated air often leads to cooling deficits. Hot spots make the IT equipment’s

work more difficult. So Norden has developed a solution for this by using Hot/Cold containment system.

COLD AISLE WITH RAISED FLOOR

HOT AISLE CONTAINMENT SYSTEM

• Centralized AC system supply cooled air into cold aisle via perforated tiles of raised floor.

• Cold aisle containment offers various benefits, including ease of implementation without the need for additional

architectural modifications to man age exhaust air. It simply requires the installation of doors at the aisle ends and a roof.

This makes it a cost-effective and adaptable choice for retrofitting existing data centres, especially those with overhead

obstructions like existing ductwork, lighting, power systems, and network distribution.

• Even with low room heights, the raised floor height is maximised for cooling air supply without flow losses.

• Cold Aisle Containment isolates the cooled supply air from the CRAC units within direct proximity of the air intake of

critical equipment.

• Undisturbed and uniform air flow distribution of cooling air in the cold aisle guarantees high efficiency.

• Favourable working conditions in the cold aisle due to low temperature, flow and noise load conditions

• Hardware racks not connected to the enclosure do not impair the cooling efficiency of the cold aisle.

• Use of inexpensive standard CRAC cooling units sited outside of the server area.

Pre-Terminated Break Out patch cord features tight-

buffered fiber within a common outer jacket available

in OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4, OS1, and OS2 multi-mode

and single-mode variants. Each end is terminated with

The door sensor contacts to the host device and directly

monitors the open/close statues of door in the equipment

room. An alarm will be sent when the door is open.

The smoke sensor connects to the host device and

directly monitors smoky statues. When it exceeds the

limiting value, an alarm will be sent.

The T/H (Temperature/Humidity) sensor can monitor the

temperature and humidity in working environment.
